District News

Troop 580 Eagle Court of Honors

Juston Balenseifen and Matt Kell each completed their Eagle Court of Honor on March 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. respectively. Each had great support from the community and family members. Both worked really hard to become Eagle Scouts. Juston is the 3rd and final son of Joyce Balenseifen to become an Eagle Scout. Bob post and I attended them on behalf of the Lone Wolf District. Congratulations to Matt and Juston!

Pack 142 Family Night

Pack 142 held a family night in which the cub scouts got to stay up late, watch movies, and receive their awards from the year. I was invited to attend, and, it was a wonderful evening.

LONE WOLF CAMPING AND ACTIVITY CORNER-Lake Palo Duro

How many of you have been out to Lake Palo Duro near Spearman, TX? This lake is situated somewhat in the middle of Lone Wolf District in Hansford County. There are opportunities for fishing, swimming, hiking, camping, and other outdoorsy activities. There are quite a few beautiful camping areas and a playground. On April 13th, we are having the annual Lake Palo Duro Cleanup. Come check out a great place and a chance to give back. Lake Palo Duro is the place to go! Boy Scouts can camp out for free over the weekend, and, cub scouts are welcome to come in on Saturday!
