Quanah Parker Recharters

Please get your Unit Recharters turned in as soon as possible. March 1st will render Units completely inactive. I have received several more that last year at this time, but it’s very important to not have any gap in your Unit Recharter. Let’s not let advancement, and boys slip through the cracks.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Recharters will NOT process until all leaders have current YPT, and must be in Chase Roach’s hands before March 1st.

Please contact me (Chase Roach-see info above) with any questions, comments or concerns.

Quanah Parker District Committee & Roundtable

February was a phenomenal Roundtable meeting where Troop 199 showed a beautiful OA inspired Webelos bridge ceremony, T62 demonstrated their timeless Eagle Court of Honor, and Gemma Mitchell discussed all of the ins and outs of having a very successful Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet. Thanks to everyone that helped and attended. All participants left with lots of great ideas to spawn into action.

The March District Roundtable is the GO TO place for the CAMP CARD KICKOFF. All units can begin selling immediately after the Roundtable. We will discuss all the details for a successful Camp Card Sell, and count and verify card quantities. We set records selling last year for Quanah Parker, and I suspect it will be even better this year. After all—the boys deserve it.

We will also remind everyone about the QP Pinewood Derby on March 23rd, at Christian Heritage Church. Here are a few details:

Cost: $2 and 2 cans of food for Scouting for Food

The Quanah Parker District Pinewood Derby is the go to place for all Quanah Parker District Pinewood FUN!! Last year we had 99 entries, 3 heats, and lots of great close races!! Our goal this year is 125 entries. We out grew the Kwahadi Kiva last year; so, this year it will be at the Outreach Center at Christian Heritage Church (900 S. Nelson) There are several Cub Scout divisions, and an Open Division, and last but not least a Leader Division. Oh, and did I mention lots of AWARDS!

Entry Fees are $2 and 2 cans of food—per entry. Registration and Weigh-In are from 11;00AM-12:00PM. Cars must be with-in BSA weight and build details. Races will begin as close to 12:00PM as possible, and all cars must be registered by 12:00PM. Races will end at or before 4:00PM.

Christian Heritage Church will be serving lunch, and have a concession stand for snacks all day. The prices will vary depending on what food is purchased.

Please visit for more details and an event flier.

Quanah Parker Scouting for Food

The week of March 17-23rd will support everyone’s local food bank with a can food drive. Please contact Chase Roach to secure a section of town on our Council Map at the office. Several units have already secured neighborhoods to work. This is an excellent opportunity for community service hours, and also help replenish local food banks that are severely depleted.

Visit: for more details.
