July Calendar:

14-Fun in the Sun Camp- Dalhart

28-Program Preview in Guymon, OK

Spearman Fun-in-the-Sun Camp

The Spearman Fun-in-the-Sun camp started at 1:00 p.m. with rotations of games, crafts, archery, BB guns, and swimming. 16 cub scouts and 12 adults attended from packs 163, 256, and 257. It was a very successful endeavor, with lots of fun to be had by all. Myranda Newcomb, the Fun-in-the-Sun director, was the driving force behind the whole day. She and her husband Eric, along with James Hayes, Amber Childress, and Linda Jarvis volunteered to oversee the various activities. We ended the day with hotdogs, chips, cookies, and lemonade, generously donated by Wal-Mart. Justin Gift from Pack 163 quoted, “This is definitely the camp I am going to next year.”

Congratulations to the new additions to the honor of Eagle Scout in the Lone Wolf District. Blaine H., Eric B., and Eli B. completed their Eagle Board of Review on June 14th, 2012. They are now waiting on their Eagle Court of Honor.
