Dalhart Cub Scout Day Camp

Now that this school year is over and June is history, you have one last chance for your Cubs to attend a Day Camp.  The Dalhart Cub Day Camp is scheduled for July 16-17, at the Dalhart Bow Hunters Club.  Our volunteers are working very hard to make our last day camp of summer the best one, yet!  Please contact Steve Knollenberg, 580-651-2615, for more details.  Go to the Council website at www.goldenspread.org, to sign up!

Have a great Scouting Summer

The summer months are upon us, which means GREAT Scouting opportunities for our kids!  Make sure your Cubs & families are going to one of our Day, or Resident Camps, and your Boy Scouts are going to Summer Camp.  All of our summertime camping programs are designed to keep you kids charged up about Scouting.  Summer camping programs truly do give your kids memories that last a lifetime!  Have a great Scouting summer!

2010-2011 Program Kick-off meeting

Mark your calendars, for August 14th.  We have planned the 2010-2011 Golden Spread Council Program Preview and Kick-Off and we would like to have ALL adult leaders attend.  At a minimum, you should have one leader from your unit in attendance.  You will receive information on all of the upcoming district and council Programs, Fall Recruiting, Popcorn, Trainings, Camps, etc. and you will participate in a time saving and very useful calendar planning session.  When you leave, you will have planned your unit’s activities for the next year!

Please plan on attending – it will get your Scouting year off to a great start!

Summertime Program Thanks

From me, and on behalf of all the kids in our Packs, Troops  and Crews, I wanted to say “thank you” to all of you who have taken the time to make sure our kids have the opportunity to attend summertime camps and activities.  The day and resident camps our units attend give our kids memories that will last a lifetime!  Their attendance would not be possible without your commitment to promote the camps, and accompany the kids to the camps.

A special thank you to Kimberly Anderson and Lori Limbocker!  They served as Camp Director and Program Director, respectively, for the Spearman Cub Day Camp.  You guys did a great job, and the kids had a blast!

Another special thank you to Tom House, for serving as Range Master for the BB & Archery ranges!  Truth be told, I think Tom had just as much fun as the kids did!
